*Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (BLS)

Target audience:

Although there are no prerequisites the majority of the target audience for this course is directed towards anyone working in the healthcare community such as doctors, nurses, dentists, surgeons, pharmacists, fire & EMS professionals.

Course description:

Teaches critical concepts of high quality CPR, one and two person rescuer CPR with use of AED, differences between adult, child and infant rescuer techniques, bag mask techniques and rescue breathing for adult, child and infant, relief of choking, and introduction to CPR with an advanced airway.




*BLS Renewal

Prerequisite: Must hold a current unexpired BLS card

Target audience:

Anyone who holds a current BLS (unexpired only) who is working in the healthcare industry such as doctors, nurses, dentists, surgeons, pharmacists & EMS professionals.

Course Description:

*HeartSaver Adult (only) CPR with AED

Target audience:

Anyone with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This course is also great for anyone who wants to learn CPR and gain confidence in emergency situations.

Course description:

Adult CPR, learning quality compressions, proper hand placement, mouth-mouth breathing, mask breathing, AED use, choking relief, recognizing when CPR is needed, notifying emergency response & scene safety. Includes hands on skills training and testing.





*HeartSaver Adult, Infant & Child CPR with AED

Target audience:

Anyone with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This course is also great for anyone who wants to learn CPR and gain confidence in emergency situations.

Course description:

Classroom video based, instructor-lead course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. Child and infant CPR and choking module can be added to this class as well.





*Pediatric First Aid with CPR, AED and Asthma Care Training

Target Audiences:

Child care providers, child day-care workers, nannies, and babysitters, preschool teachers, primary school, and secondary school teachers and educators and the general public and general industry. In addition this class would be useful for new parents & family members who would like to improve general knowledge on many issues that may arise while raising children.

Course Description

Designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It is and in depth course that covers critical skills in CPR and first aid. The course covers the four steps of first aid and first aid skills.  Such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging, using an Epinephrine pen, administering medications, adult, child and infant CPR with AED use, shock, dehydration, hear stroke, drowning, choking confidentiality, allergic reactions, diabetes, amputations, bites, stings, broken bones, sprains, burns, eye injuries, poison, seizures as well as asthma training for child care providers and much more.





ASHI *Child & Babysitting Safety (C.A.B.S.)

Target audience:

Young people usually 11-15 years old who are interested in providing babysitting services.

Course description:

Focuses on supervising, caring for, and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. The course provides fundamental information in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and responding properly to ill or injured children or infants.





ASHI Bloodborne Pathogens

Target audience:

Any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties.

Course description:

This course includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. This program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the US Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1920.1030). Recognized certification period 12 months.





AHA HearSaver First Aid for the Workplace

Target audience:

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Course description:

A classroom, video based, instructor-lead course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical service arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.





ASHI Basic First Aid

Target audience:

Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children, or both, including-emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

Course description:

Helps students develop first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to response in the event of certain situations. This course covers assessment, soft-tissue injuries, muscle & bone injuries, facial injuries, burns, sudden illness, poisoning, bites, stings and environmental emergencies.




Family and Friends CPR (No card issued)

Target audience:

The Family & Friends CPR course is for members of the general public who want to learn CPR in a facilitated group environment. This course does not provide a course completion card and will not meet most job requirements.

Course Description:

Teaches adult hands only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and choking relief for adults, children and infants.




















 

Recognize Heart Attack

Chest discomfort (uncomfortable chest pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain.        
Discomfort in other areas of the upper body.
Shortness of breath
Sweating, nausea, or light-headedness. 

Knowing what to do 
      
Recognize the signs and act at once.        
Have the person sit or lie down.        
If the pain last for more than a few minutes, phone 911 (or other emergency response number) and get the AED (if available) or send someone to phone 911 and get the AED 

Recognize Stroke
      
Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body.        
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding.        
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes       
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or coordination.        
Sudden, severe headache with no known cause.
